Why I started Ark

I started the Ark Initiative because I believe no young person should have to figure out their future alone. I’ve seen how much one steady, caring adult can change the course of a life — and how many bright, capable kids simply never get that person in their corner.

Too many young people are full of potential but short on guidance, direction, and someone who genuinely believes in them. Ark exists to close that gap: to pair students with mentors who show up, listen, and help them see what’s possible.

My hope is that every young person we reach walks away more confident, more prepared, and more certain that their life can add up to something that matters. That’s the future I’m building — one relationship at a time.
